The second task is replacing worn weather seals with new ones. If light comes through the sides of the door, then the old weather strips have to go. The new ones should be made from vinyl as it provides reliable protection from water while being highly durable.

Safety Sensors Maintenance

The work starts with a check for damage. It is important to inspect the wiring closely too. If the cords and sensors are in good shape, they should be wiped clean with soft cloth. The photo eyes require proper aligning too. They should be aimed at each other to work properly. The easiest way to test the sensors’ performance is to wave a long thin object in front of them while the door is closing. The door should reverse its course immediately. If it continues down to the floor, the devices will require a check and repair or replacement.
